Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations in his eight day travel to different nations, today arrived Nepal with the purpose of strengthening the bilateral relations.

During his visit, he will interact with government officials, youth leaders, parliamentarians and entrepreneurs to further strengthen the political and business relations between the US and Nepal, and highlight US support for Nepal's health sector and infrastructure, according to the US Embassy in Kathmandu.

He is expected to host more than 50 meetings with key government officials, civil society organizations, industry leaders, non-profits, local embassy staff, and others, including Americans and Marylanders. Throughout his travels, the Senator will visit a wide array of US-supported projects and locations of cultural significance.
