Mohan Ghimire, ward president of Gulmi's Musikot Municipality Ward No. 1, has been found dead today morning. Ghimire, who left home on Friday and did not return home overnight, was found dead hanging from a tree near his house, according to District Police Office Gulmi. The police suspect that he committed suicide. He also wrote a status on Facebook before committing suicide.
This morning at 5, he Mr.Ghimire posted on Facebook, "There is no point in surviving after being caught in the grip of the situation. Dear Anita, I couldn't cope. Forgive me. I apologize to all my family, friends and well-wishers. Goodbye".
He was searched after the status was spread in public platform and was found dead and hanging in Jhakristhan as reported by Naveen Kishore Pradhan, Chief Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Gulmi. He was a middle aged man of 45. District Police Office Gulmi has informed that further investigation about the incident is going on.
According to sources close to the family, Ghimire had left his home on Friday afternoon for ward-related duties and had not returned throughout the night. Ghimire also held the position of chairman of the Nepali Congress Musikot Municipality City Committee.
