SATV, Kathmandu, Oct.11- The Nepal Army has completed the installation of a 40-tonne-capacity Acrow bridge over Falaku Khola at Betrabati, along the border between Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts.
The newly installed bridge is expected to improve transportation for residents of Nuwakot, Rasuwa and surrounding areas while facilitating the delivery of relief supplies and essential goods to areas affected by recent floods.
The bridge measures 73.2 metres in length and 5.5 metres in width, with a load-bearing capacity of 40 tonnes. Its operation is expected to restore easier access for local communities and improve the movement of vehicles carrying essential supplies.
The Nepal Army formally handed over the newly constructed bridge to the Galchhi–Rasuwagadhi Road Project during an official ceremony.
According to the details provided, the Army began construction on Asoj 20 after carrying out difficult rock-breaking work along an approximately 300-metre road section to build the access route required for the bridge.
The completion of the bridge is expected to provide significant relief to communities affected by transportation disruptions, particularly by improving connectivity and enabling the more efficient delivery of emergency relief materials and other essential supplies.
The installation marks an important step towards restoring road connectivity between the two districts and supporting recovery efforts in flood-affected areas.
