SATV Kathmandu Sept22: The price of gold surged by Rs 700 per tola on Monday, setting a new all-time high in Nepal's domestic market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold has now reached Rs 217,800 per tola.
This marks a sharp increase from Sunday's record of Rs 217,100 per tola as well as of Bhadra 31, which had previously been the historic peak.
Silver prices also continued their upward trend, climbing by Rs 30 per tola to set a fresh record.
The precious metal is now being traded at Rs 2,650 per tola, up from Rs 2,620 per tola the previous day.
