16-Seater Electric Minibus 'Maxus eDeliver 5' Launched in Nepal, Priced at NPR 6.95 Million

SATV, Kathmandu,oct.11- Himalayan Motrox Pvt. Ltd., the official importer and distributor of MAXUS vehicles under the Himalayan Organization in Nepal, has officially launched the premium 16-seater electric minibus, MAXUS eDeliver 5, in the Nepali market.

Unveiled during a special event held in Kathmandu, the market price of the vehicle has been set at NPR 6,950,000 (NPR 69.5 Lakhs). The company stated that this minibus is an ideal solution particularly for hotels, resorts, tourism hospitality services, and commercial passenger transportation. Previously, the company introduced the Maxus eTerron 9 pickup, which has gained significant popularity in Nepal due to its bold and striking design.

The new minibus was jointly unveiled by Mr. Dhruba Thapa, Chairman of Himalayan Organization, Director Mr. Akash Golchha, and Managing Director Mr. Saurabh Thapa. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Mr. Kapil Siwakoti, was also present at the launch ceremony.

 The vehicle features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, USB, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Additionally, a four-way adjustable steering wheel, a sleek modern cockpit, and steering-mounted switchgear enhance driving comfort and convenience.

Powered by a 64 kWh CATL battery, the minibus delivers a range of up to 400 km on a single full charge according to NEDC testing standards. The electric motor generates a maximum power of 120 kW and a peak torque of 240 Nm. Equipped with up to 70 kW DC fast charging capabilities, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in approximately 36 minutes. Prioritizing passenger safety, the minibus is equipped with advanced driver-assistance features including a 360-degree round-view camera system, Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), and Driver State Monitoring (DSM). Standard safety features such as airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are also included. Designed for local road conditions, it offers a ground clearance of 200 mm and comes fitted with alloy wheels on all tires.

Manufactured in China by the world-renowned SAIC Motor Group, MAXUS vehicles are recognized globally for their superior quality and reliability. To ensure peace of mind for commercial operators, the company provides an 8-year warranty on the battery and a 5-year warranty on the motor.
