SATV, Kathmandu, September 29 – The exchange rates of the Chinese yuan, US dollar, and Japanese yen—which had remained relatively stable in recent days—have seen an increase. According to the foreign exchange rates released by Nepal Rastra Bank for Tuesday, the prices of the US dollar and Japanese yen increased alongside the Chinese yuan.
Specifically, the buying rate for the Chinese yuan reached NPR 22.84 and the selling rate reached NPR 22.93. On the previous day (Monday), the buying rate for the yuan was NPR 22.79 and the selling rate was NPR 22.88.
Similarly, the value of the US dollar also rose slightly compared to Monday. According to the central bank, the US dollar increased by 27 paisa, bringing its buying rate to NPR 153.28 and its selling rate to NPR 153.88 per dollar.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for one European euro has been set at NPR 174.32 (buying) and NPR 174.00 (selling); one UK pound sterling at NPR 203.16 (buying) and NPR 203.96 (selling); and one Swiss franc at NPR 184.32 (buying) and NPR 185.04 (selling).
The buying rate for one Australian dollar is fixed at NPR 107.50 and the selling rate at NPR 107.92; one Canadian dollar at NPR 108.23 (buying) and NPR 108.65 (selling); and one Singapore dollar at NPR 119.87 (buying) and NPR 120.34 (selling).
Likewise, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is NPR 9.76 and the selling rate is NPR 9.80; one Saudi Arabian riyal is NPR 40.83 (buying) and NPR 40.99 (selling); and one Qatari riyal is NPR 42.05 (buying) and NPR 42.22 (selling).
