
SATV, Kathmandu, October 3: Gold prices in the Nepali market declined by Rs 3,800 per tola over the past week compared to the previous Friday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold was traded at Rs 298,600 per tola last Friday. By this Friday, the price had fallen by Rs 3,800 to Rs 294,800 per tola.
Gold prices fluctuated throughout the week. On Sunday, the first trading day of the week, the price increased by Rs 700 to Rs 299,300 per tola.
On Monday, gold recorded a sharp decline of Rs 5,000 in a single day, falling to Rs 294,300 per tola. The price dropped by another Rs 3,800 on Tuesday to Rs 290,500 per tola.
On Wednesday, gold recovered by Rs 2,800 to reach Rs 293,300 per tola, while the price remained unchanged on Thursday.
On the final trading day of the week, Friday, gold increased by Rs 1,500 to Rs 294,800 per tola, closing the week at that price.
Silver prices also fluctuated during the week and recorded an overall decline of Rs 170 per tola compared to the previous Friday.
According to the federation, silver was traded at Rs 4,620 per tola last Friday. By this Friday, the price had declined to Rs 4,450 per tola.
On Sunday, silver increased by Rs 35 to Rs 4,655 per tola. On Monday, it fell by Rs 145 to Rs 4,510, followed by another decline of Rs 115 on Tuesday to Rs 4,395 per tola.
Silver recovered by Rs 30 on Wednesday to reach Rs 4,425 per tola and remained unchanged on Thursday.
On Friday, the final trading day of the week, silver increased by Rs 25 to Rs 4,450 per tola, closing the week at that price.
