SATV, Kathmandu, Sept. 7: ‘Gauthali’ celebrated its 51st day in cinemas on Saturday, becoming the highest-grossing Nepali film to date.

The film has successfully completed 51 days of screening in more than three dozen cinemas inside and outside the Kathmandu Valley.

At a time when most films are struggling to remain in cinemas for even a week, Gauthali has reached its 51st day and become the second highest-grossing film in the history of the Nepali film industry.

After Purna Bahadurko Sarangi, it has become the second highest-grossing Nepali film.

“We have been able to celebrate our 51st day because of our hard work and the love of the audience,” director Kapil Rijal said. “This love has made us even more responsible.” He said that he would soon return with another project for the audience. He also thanked the audience and expressed his gratitude for their continued support.

Directed by Dr. Kapil Rijal, Gauthali features Arun Chhetri, Simran Khadka, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Loonibha Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwari Baral, Sanjog Rasaili, Sita Devi Timilsina and Laxminath Timilsina, among others.

The film has been made under the presentation of Bhola Rijal Production and Suman Giri Production. Sarala Rijal is the executive producer, while Suman Giri and Dr Kapil Rijal are the producers.
