SATV, Kathmandu, March 27:  Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has extended a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

Talking to social media, Indian PM Modi said, "Your appointment reflects the trust reposed in your leadership by the people of Nepal. I look forward to working closely with you to take India-Nepal friendship and cooperation to even greater heights for the mutual benefit of our people."

Balendra Shah has been sworn in as the Prime Minister of Nepal amid a ceremony held at the office of President Sheetal Niwas today.
