SATV, Kathmandu, Mar. 16 - Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products. Petrol has gone up by Rs 15 per litre, while diesel and kerosene prices have increased by Rs 10 per litre. The new rates will come into effect from midnight today.
Under the new pricing, petrol now costs Rs 172 per litre in cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, while diesel and kerosene are priced at Rs 152 per litre.
The corporation said the price hike was necessary due to the international situation and rising global fuel costs, linked to tensions involving United States, Israel and Iran.
