
In order to fully showcase Dunhuang’s image as an international cultural tourism city, address the shortage of professional broadcasting and hosting personnel, strengthen international communication talent, and continuously enhance the global reach and influence of Dunhuang culture, in accordance with the Administrative Measures for the Introduction of Urgently Needed and Scarce High-Level Talent in Dunhuang City (Trial) and the Administrative Measures for the Introduction of Broadcasting and Hosting Talent of the Dunhuang Convergence Media Center (Trial), the Dunhuang Convergence Media Center plans to publicly recruit two international communication broadcast hosts. The details are announced as follows:
I. Recruitment Plan
This recruitment plans to introduce two professional international communication broadcast hosts who meet the job requirements:
One Chinese national (female)
One foreign national (open to all genders)
II. Requirements (I) Basic Requirements Position 1: Bilingual Host/Hostess Possess the nationality of the People’s Republic of China. Uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, support the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, practice core socialist values, demonstrate strong ideals, patriotism, and a willingness to serve the country and the people. Tier One:
Full-time bachelor’s degree or above in Broadcasting and Hosting
Putonghua Proficiency Test Level 1-A
Radio and Television Announcer and Host Qualification Certificate
IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
Strong bilingual broadcasting and cross-cultural communication skills
Ability to independently plan and broadcast bilingual programs
Priority given to candidates with international communication or multilingual experience (requirements may be relaxed for those with overseas study or living experience)
Tier Two:
Full-time bachelor’s degree or above in Broadcasting and Hosting
Putonghua Proficiency Test Level 1-B or above
Radio and Television Announcer and Host Qualification Certificate
CET-6 or equivalent
Proficiency in English for interviews, writing, and broadcasting
Good appearance and temperament, professional on-camera image, standard Mandarin and English pronunciation, pleasant voice quality, strong language organization and program planning abilities.
Meet physical and psychological health standards for employment.
Meet other conditions stipulated by laws and regulations.
Requirements may be relaxed for exceptionally outstanding international communication professionals.
Position 2: Foreign Host
Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, and uphold the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China.
Comply with the Rules for the Administration of Employment of Foreigners in China, and possess a valid passport or equivalent international travel document.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in news gathering, writing, on-camera hosting, video shooting, and post-production for international communication
Create Dunhuang cultural content for overseas audiences from a global perspective
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Media, Film and Television Production, Economics, International Relations, or related fields
Excellent oral expression, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Passion for Chinese culture
English as the primary working language (Chinese communication skills preferred)
Proficiency in video shooting and post-production software
Media experience, multilingual ability, or long-term Chinese residence permit preferred
(II) Age Requirements
Applicants must be under 30 years old as of December 31, 2025.
For foreign hosts and exceptionally outstanding candidates, the age limit may be relaxed to under 35 years old.
(III) Ineligible Applicants
Individuals who fall under any of the following categories are not eligible:
Academic misconduct, legal violations, or moral issues
Criminal records or ongoing investigations
Expelled from the Communist Party of China or dismissed from public office
Serious recruitment discipline violations
Listed as dishonest persons subject to joint punishment
Personnel file issues affecting employment
Foreigners without proper work and residence permits
Conflicts of interest affecting recruitment fairness
Other situations prohibited by laws and regulations
III. Policy Benefits

Tier One: RMB 300,000 per year (including social insurance and housing fund)
Tier Two: RMB 200,000 per year (including social insurance and housing fund)
Priority given to award-winning or experienced professionals.
Exceptional talents may be hired on a case-by-case basis through negotiated agreements.
(2) Living Allowance
Tier One: RMB 300,000
Tier Two: RMB 200,000
Paid in installments after probation and annual assessments over eight years.
