SATV, Yushu, August 03:On August 3, the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture hosted a grand cultural concert as part of the "Yushu-Nepal Trade and Cultural Exchange Series," celebrating the 70th anniversary of China-Nepal diplomatic relations. The event, bridging the two nations through music and art, strengthened cultural, educational, and trade cooperation, drawing enthusiastic participation from officials, artists, and locals.
Gezha, Chairman of the Yushu Federation of Industry and Commerce, hailed the event’s success: "This exchange deepened ties between Yushu and Nepal, not only culturally but also through trade." He highlighted the inaugural "Yushu-Nepal International Freight Vehicle Launch," signaling enhanced trade prospects for specialty goods from both regions.
A Night of Cultural Harmony
The gala unfolded in three thematic chapters: "Bonds Across the Himalayas," "Neighborly Friendship, Cultural Blending," and "Together Toward a Brighter Future." Performances by Chinese and Nepali artists showcased their shared heritage.
The opening chapter featured soulful tributes to the homeland, including Holy Three-River Source by the Sanjiangyuan Brothers and A Heavenly Tibet by Yongba. The second chapter blended nostalgia and energy, with Ancient Road Love Song echoing centuries of Sino-Nepali camaraderie. The finale soared with King Gesar Epic recitals and Yushu Welcomes Friends, celebrating cultural diversity.
A Toast to Everlasting Friendship
As the concert concluded, hosts Qiu Yongcaizang (Chinese) and Renmila (Nepali) reflected: "Seventy years of friendship have grown into a towering tree, deeply rooted and fruitful." The event closed with group photos and cheers of "Tashi Delek" and "Namaste," symbolizing enduring unity.
