SATV 24 July, 2025, Kathmandu: According to an official post from the Embassy of India in China on July 23, starting from July 24, 2025, Chinese citizens will be able to apply for tourist visas to visit India.

On July 23, the official account @Embassy of India in China posted(translated):

“Starting from July 24, 2025, Chinese citizens may apply for tourist visas to visit India. Applicants must first fill out the visa application form online and print it out. Then, schedule an appointment and personally visit the relevant Indian Visa Application Center with their passport, printed visa application form, and other required documents.”

The designated Indian Visa Application Centers by jurisdiction are as follows:

Beijing: 5th Floor, Tower A, Jiacheng Plaza, No. 18 East 3rd Ring North Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing

Shanghai: Room 11B38, No. 2299 Yan’an West Road, Changning District, Shanghai

Guangzhou: Room 2401A, North Tower, R&F Yingli Building, No. 3-2 Huaqiang Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou

This marks the first time since 2020—when visa services were suspended—that India is resuming the issuance of tourist visas to Chinese citizens after a five-year hiatus. Previously, India also imposed restrictions on business visas for Chinese citizens, which have recently seen some relaxation.
