RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 15 -- Venezuela international midfielder Yeferson Soteldo could swap Santos for Corinthians next year, according to Brazilian media reports.
The clubs have opened conversations though Corinthians are loath to meet Santos' financial demands to prise the 26-year-old away from Vila Belmiro, news service Uol said on Friday.
Soteldo has made 135 appearances over two separate spells with the Brazilian Serie A club, scoring 21 goals and providing 27 assists.
He endured a run of poor form in 2023 as Santos were relegated to Brazilian football's second tier for the first time in their history.
Soteldo, who has been capped 37 times for Venezuela's national team, is understood to have also attracted the interest of Argentine giants Boca Juniors, among other clubs.
