In the recent indiscriminate attack done by Palestenian radical group Hamas on Isarel, it has been confirmed that ten Nepali students have lost their lives.
Hamas initiated a major offensive against Israel on Saturday, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War, which began on October 6th. Israeli officials have reported a grim toll, with the number of casualties exceeding 600 and hundreds more wounded.
The deceased are Narayan Prasad Neupane of Ghodaghodi-4 Kailali, Ganesh Kumar Nepali of Jai Prithvi-6, Bajhang, Ashish Chaudhary of Bauniya-3 Kailali, Dipeshraj Bista of Lekam-5 Darchula, , Anand Shah of Saphi-6, Dhanusha and, Rajesh Kumar Swarnakar of Madhuvan-1,Sunsari.Similarly, Rajan Phulara of Panchnali-Doti, Padam Thapa of Lamikhal-8 Doti, Pravesh Bhandari of Sarada-3 Salyan and Lokendra Singh Dhami of Malikarjun-4 Darchula also died.
According to the source, Pramod KC (Salyan) and Birendra Chaudhary (Kailali) are safe.
Minister Saud said that there were 4,500 Nepali nationals who were working in Israel as caregivers.
Two-hundred-and sixty-five Nepalis had gone to Israel to study there under the Israeli government's 'learn and earn programme.' A total of 119 Nepalis had gone from Nepal Agriculture University, 97 people from Tribhuvan University and 49 students from Sudurpaschim University.
Acc. to the minister, the government was fully committed to rescue Nepalese in Israel, provide treatment and facilitate other processes that might be necessary.
