Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Nepal held a Digital Nepal 2023 press meet informing about the Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023 and Huwaei Mobile Nepal Congress (MNC) mega event going to be organised in June 23 and 24 with a slogan "Fostering Digitally Saksham Nepal". The conclave has more than 70 resource person including ICT experets from different countries.The programme is held by ICT in joint collaboration of Huawei.
The emphasis of the conclave will be placed on Nepal's capability for digital transformation and the implementation of its necessary results.
Rajan Lamsal, CEO of ICT Foundation Nepal informs about the significance of the digital event, that the program not just apprise about digital infrastructure, digital identity, digital governance but also digital innovation and entrepreneurship, Tech staff, digital capability, digital economy and Fin Tech. The conclave also briefs about data governance, digital security, digital leadership and digital capability.
Birendra Kumar Mishra, general manager of ICT Foundation Nepal informs, ICT Foundation has been contributing in the journey of Digital Nepal by organising various events from local level to provincial level. Connected to state of connectivity, digital literacy and government, this project is indispensable. It includes newest of technology like machine gun, crypto currency, artificial intelligence and others.
Huawei as a main sponsor will also organise a Mini Mobile Nepal World Congress where participants will learn about 5G and new mobile technologies.
Yang Lee Yan, Public Relation Director of Huawei Nepal conveyed that Huawei has partnership with ICT Foundation to break digital incomprehension in building a comprehensive agenda and understanding for collaborative achievement. He further adds, " it targets to bring the latest technology of ICT sector to Nepal".
Hempal Shrestha encompasses that " there is a dream but couldn't find enough of the capabilities". He clarifies," ICT worked on digital transformation previous year and this year focuses on governmental policies and institutional management, human capital, development of information, information communication technology and data industry and research analysis on digital infrastructure to bring ultimate digital transformation".
Mishra adds, "we search for digital Nepal competence this year in research and we believe that the data will be very helpful for policy makers to bring suitable changes in the polices of necessary areas".
The programme discusses Nepal's digital ecosystem and also the potential of technology. As a conclave pre-event the foundation had organized digital province interchange program in all seven provinces of Nepal. Digital conditions and the information on digital province competence scenario will also be released at the conclave.
15 sessions with 6 different themes would be conducted in the conclave for two days where experts and professors of south Korea, Singapore, India, Bangladesh and Japan also will be joing including a presence and participation of around 800 to 1000 expected audiences.
