The international daily flights from Guangzhou to Kathmandu has started from today onwards which had been decreased to two days a week since the global pandemic of Corona Virus in March 2020.
Since Guangzhou is a major business center in China, China Southern Air has started daily flights to Kathmandu from today. It will take off at 8:30 PM Chinese time and reach Nepal at 11:05 PM Nepalese time. After the pandemic, China started only 2 flights a week since last 3 months.
Only 2 flights a week resulted in expensive fare of the tickets. This limited the travellers of China-Nepal. Only one with urgent and important work would travel purchasing high cost tickets. But now when the air tickets to and from China have become cheaper after direct daily flights have resumed, it is believed to contribute in the tourism and travel of both countries prominently. Nepal is enthusiastic to welcome Chinese flow of tourist.
CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, Mr. Dhananjay Regmi, also evaluates that the Dragon boat Race Festival will keep the flow of tourist constant through the Chinese visitor's visit during June and July.
On the 22nd of this June, China's national festival Dragon Boat Race Festival (Duan Wu Jie) is taking place. On this occasion, the Chinese government is giving a three-day holiday. Nepal tourism from China is expected to increase during this three-day holiday as well. Then in July, the Chinese will go on a tour because of the 40-day university holiday in China.
Sudarshan Nepal, a young tourism businessman who has been serving Chinese tourists in Nepal, said that,'' this is the first daily flight after the pandemic, Chinese tourists will surely increase which is making us excited.''
