The Jaffna Cultural Centre is an important initiative signifying the close cultural cooperation between India and Sri Lanka, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on Saturday. The Indian Premier tweeted the above message sharing a post of the Indian High Commission in Colombo on the opening of the Jaffna Cultural Centre.
“It will benefit many people. The august presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe made the programme even more special. I will never forget my special visit to Jaffna in 2015, where I had the opportunity to lay the foundation stone for the Jaffna Cultural Centre,” the Indian Premier added.
The Jaffna Cultural Centre was dedicated to the people on Saturday in the presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Indian Union Minister Dr. L. Murugan, and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagley.
