Nepal Set Canada a Target of 236 Runs After Rohit’s Century

SATV, Kathmandu, October 11- Nepal’s national cricket team set Canada a target of 236 runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tri-series, thanks to a century by Rohit Paudel.

After winning the toss at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman and opting to field, Canada restricted Nepal to 235 runs, bowling out the team.

Rohit Paudel was Nepal’s highest scorer, contributing 101 runs off 127 balls, including eight fours and one six.

Gulshan Jha scored 48 runs off 34 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes before being dismissed. Basir Ahmed added 30 runs.

Opener Arjun Kumal was dismissed for 23 runs off 54 balls. Aasif Sheikh scored four runs off three balls, hitting one boundary, before being caught by Aaron Johnson off the bowling of Akhil Kumar.

Ishan Pandey returned to the pavilion without scoring. Karan KC made eight runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee contributed six.

For Canada, Akhil Kumar took four wickets, Sukhjinder Singh claimed three, and Zahid Siraj took two wickets.
