Kathmandu, Sept 10, 2025 – A Himalayan Airlines flight en route from Lhasa to Kathmandu was diverted to Pokhara International Airport (PHR) on Tuesday after operations were temporarily halted at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Flight HIM775, originally scheduled to land in Kathmandu at 12:35 PM local time, was rerouted and safely landed in Pokhara at 1:59 PM. The Airbus aircraft was carrying 65 passengers and seven crew members at the time of diversion.
According to the airline, the decision was made to ensure passenger safety after TIA suspended aerodrome operations. “The flight landed safely in Pokhara, and all passengers and crew members are secure,” the company said in a statement.
