The congress featured a comprehensive exhibition of Huawei’s cutting-edge technologies, celebrating its 25-year journey in Nepal. Key highlights included demonstrations of Huawei's energy storage systems, AI-driven mobile technologies, and the strategic roadmap for advancing from 5G to 5.5G networks.
Interactive sessions captivated attendees with deep dives into AI trends, digital energy, and the 5G ecosystem. These sessions, moderated by seasoned Huawei Nepal professionals, also examined the digital divide within South Asia — with particular focus on Nepal's ongoing transition from 4G towards next-generation networks.
Mukunda Baidhya, a distinguished member of Huawei Nepal’s Solution Department, presented a compelling overview of the company’s contributions to digital power. He emphasized Huawei’s global R&D footprint — comprising 12 research and development centers, including four in China and eight across other international hubs — and outlined the evolution of energy sources from traditional firewood to AI-enhanced solar solutions.
Huawei also highlighted its corporate social responsibility initiatives, recalling its pivotal role in Nepal’s post-earthquake reconstruction in 2015 and its robust support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the company reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability, citing significant milestones in reducing carbon emissions both in China and globally.
Another focal point of the congress was the integration of Huawei's intelligent technologies into electric vehicles (EVs) and transport infrastructure.
