KATHMANDU, Nov 2: Nepal secures a remarkable victory over Australia in the Hong Kong Sixes. In the ongoing match at Mong Kok, Nepal defeated Australia by 11 runs. Chasing a target of 112 runs, Australia managed to score only 100 runs, losing all 5 wickets.
For Australia, Jack Wood scored 55 runs and Alex Ross made 14 runs. For Nepal, Pratish GC took 3 wickets, while Lokesh Bam and Vivek Yadav claimed 1 wicket each.
For Nepal, Pratish took a wicket in the very first over. Batting first, Nepal scored 111 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.
Sandeep scored a half-century, hitting 51 runs off 16 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Lokesh Bam scored 33 runs off 13 balls. In the first match, Nepal defeated England by 6 wickets.
With this victory, Nepal has become the group winner and qualified for the quarter-finals.
