TOKYO, April 24 (Xinhua) -- The discharge of nuclear-contaminated wastewater from Japan's crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant was halted before Wednesday noon, local media reported.
The suspension of the so-called treated water was due to a power outage caused by the plant's power supply system glitch as the International Atomic Energy Agency started its investigation at the plant during the day, according to local broadcaster TV-U Fukushima.
