The ruling Awami League's candidate for this month's Dhaka-17 by-polls, Mohammad A Arafat, on Friday paid a courtesy call on PM's ICT Adviser Sajeed Wazed Joy.

The two discussed the by-election slated for July 17 as well as the upcoming parliamentary polls.

"He (Joy) always keeps an eye on international and domestic politics from behind the scenes," Arafat wrote on Facebook after the meeting.
