Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 714,877 on Sunday with 2,137 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 669,299 with 2,029 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,093 with 55 more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 12,378 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,033 were PCR tests while 3,345 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,683,734 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 411 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,548.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 93.6 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 35,485.
So far, a total of 6,986,451 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 4,494,269 have received the first dose while only 2,492,182 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Currently, there are 475 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Saturday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 712,740 with 2,231 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 202 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.2 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 182 million people have recovered while more than 16 million cases are still active.
