Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 642,053 on Thursday with 1,391 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 603,600 with 3,451 people discharged yesterday.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll shifted to 9,179 with 34 fatalities recorded yesterday.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 10,596 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,566 were PCR tests while 4,030 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,357,829 PCR tests have been carried out till Friday.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 908 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,299.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count has dropped to 29,274 with daily recoveries exceeding daily infections.
In the same time frame, 316 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 78 and 34 cases respectively.
So far, a total of 3,362,501 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,604,866 have received the first dose while only 757,635 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Currently, there are 299 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Thursday, Nepal's coronavirus case count had reached 640,662 on Thursday with 1,857 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 183 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 3.9 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 167 million people have recovered while more than 11 million cases are still active.
