ADB stated that it will use these funds to conduct vaccine-related health system assessments and develop national preparation plans to improve its ability to safely and effectively obtain, introduce, deploy, deliver, and monitor vaccines. These funds will help members to assess and strengthen vaccine logistics, health staffing and skills, risk communication, and real-time data acquisition and monitoring capabilities.

ADB was established in 1966 and currently has 68 members, of which 49 are from the Asia-Pacific region.
