SATV, Kathmandu, Aug. 11: Nepal’s Horaa Esports have secured direct qualification for the Grand Final of the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) after finishing fourth in Group B at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Paris, France.

Horaa accumulated 98 points and secured one ‘Chicken Dinner’ across 12 matches during the group stage, held on 8 and 9 August, placing them among the top five sides in Group B to advance automatically to the final stage. 

Joining Horaa in direct qualification from Group B are group leaders Team Vitality (148 points), Alpha7 Esports (108 points), GodLike Esports (105 points), and S2G Esports (97 points).

Following their qualification, Horaa’s team captain, Supreme ‘JiGGL3’ Adhikari, expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress, noting that whilst every side in the final poses a challenge, their primary focus remains on their own performance.

"I am very happy. Last time we qualified via the Survival Stage, but this time we made it directly from the group stage," Adhikari said. "It got a little tough towards the end, but we will put in the hard work for the final."

Teammate Aayush ‘NoFear’ Lama echoed his captain’s enthusiasm, adding: "I really enjoyed the intensity in the final moments. We intend to carry this same momentum into the final."

Horaa mounted a strong opening day, amassing 59 points to finish third after claiming victory in their second match. They added 39 points over six matches on the second day, bringing their total to 37 placement points and 61 eliminations. 

By securing fourth place, Horaa have guaranteed themselves at least $57,500 in prize money. They join the top five qualifiers from Group A: 4Thrive Esports (107 points), Orangutan (91 points), Vampire Esports (90 points), Team Flash (89 points), and Nigma Galaxy (88 points).

Sixteen teams, those finishing between sixth and 13th from both groups, will now compete in the Survival Stage on 11–12 August, where the top six will claim the remaining spots in the Grand Final. The bottom three teams from each group have been eliminated.

The Grand Final, featuring 16 teams contesting a multi-million-dollar prize pool, will take place from 14 to 16 August. The tournament champions will receive $500,000, with the runners-up and third-placed teams earning $250,000 and $150,000, respectively. All 16 finalists are guaranteed a cash payout, with the 16th-placed side receiving $25,000.
