SATV 1 Jun, Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced an increase in fuel prices, effective from midnight Saturday.

According to the NOC, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 2 per litre, bringing the retail price to Rs 156.50 per litre in the first category areas, Rs 159 in the second category areas, and Rs 159 per litre in the third category.

Similarly, the price of diesel and kerosene has gone up by Re 1 per litre, with the new price set at Rs 140.50 per litre for the first category, Rs 141 in the second category areas, and Rs 143 per litre in the third category areas.

The first category includes depots such as Amlekhgunj, Birgunj, Janakpur, and others, while Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal fall under the third category.
