SATV 30 May, Kathmandu: Nepathya, currently on a musical tour across the United States, has delivered another successful performance in Los Angeles.

California, one of the most vibrant states in the US, has rarely been missed during Nepathya’s American tours. Just last year, the band performed in San Francisco during a one-and-a-half-month-long tour. However, this marks only their second performance in Los Angeles — the largest city in California and home to the world-renowned film industry, Hollywood. The band had previously performed there in 2016.

As always, in Los Angeles too, vocalist Amrit Gurung not only sang songs but also shared the stories behind their origins. He described the beauty of the places that inspired the music, encouraging the audience to explore and travel within Nepal.

The concert began with “Koshi ko Pani” and concluded with the patriotic anthem “Rato ra Chandra Surya,” a tribute to the Nepali flag. Among the highlights was the performance of Nepathya’s recently released song “Karnalika Chhaila,” which was also presented to the enthusiastic audience.

On stage, lead vocalist and frontman Amrit Gurung was accompanied by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.

This performance marked the third show in Nepathya’s month-long US tour, which includes concerts in seven cities. The band has already performed in Austin, Texas, and Seattle, Washington.

Next, Nepathya is set to head to the state of Pennsylvania, where they will perform in the city of Pittsburgh. Last year, the band performed in Harrisburg, the state capital. This year, the concert in Pittsburgh is scheduled for May 31 at the Roxian Theatre.

Following that, the band will head north for their fifth performance in Chicago — the third-largest city in the US by population — where they are scheduled to perform at The Vic Theatre on June 7.

On June 11, Nepathya will take the stage at the Royale Boston venue in Boston. According to this year’s tour schedule, the final show will be held in Greensboro, North Carolina. The band will perform at Piedmont Hall on the evening of June 14, marking the conclusion of their 2024 US tour.
