SATV April 8, Kathmandu: After returning from a series of concerts in Australia, the popular band Nepathya is now preparing to perform in Gokarneshwor next week.

According to a press release issued by Nepalaya, Amrit Gurung, the lead vocalist and frontman of the band, said, “This Saturday, April 13, we will meet our audience at the Gokarneshwor concert.”

This will be Nepathya’s first concert in the Kathmandu Valley in two years. 

The band had previously performed at Bhrikutimandap in December 2022.

“The municipalities within the Kathmandu Valley are more populous than many other cities in Nepal. We were studying the possibility of organising dedicated events in such places when the proposal for Gokarneshwor came,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha of Nepalaya, who manages Nepathya.

The concert will be held in a Khula Maidan (Open field) near Hanuman Chowk in Gokarneshwor. 

Arrangements have been made for audiences to purchase tickets not only through the local organisers but also directly from the band’s official website, as mentioned in the press release.

During the Gokarneshwor concert, singer Gurung will be joined by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on the madal and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.

After the Gokarneshwor event, the band plans to head to the United States for another series of concerts similar to those held in Australia, said lead singer Gurung.
