KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) recorded 7.87 million passengers in the past 10 months, according to the Tribhuvan International Airport Office.
This figure is approximately 750,000 higher than the same period last year. TIA Spokesperson Rinji Sherpa reported that October saw the highest passenger count, with 1.027 million travelers using air services.
"Over the 10-month period, 7.87 million passengers used the service, with October recording the highest number of air travelers," Sherpa said.
From January to October 2023, 3.78 million passengers traveled on international flights.
On the domestic front, 3.727 million passengers were recorded across 84,791 flights during the same period, compared to 3.34 million domestic passengers in the corresponding period last year.
In October alone, 519,000 passengers used domestic flights.
