June 14, SATV。The two-day Nepal International Tourism Expo (NITE) was successfully inaugurated this morning at the Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. NITE was inaugurated by Nepal Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Hit Bahadur Tamang while organizing a program at the Bhrikutimand exhibition hall.

This tourism-related exhibition will be held on June 14 and 15. The main objective of this exhibition organized by 16 countries is to promote Nepal's tourism in the international market.

Organized by Summit Events and Markets, promotion of Nepal Tourism Board, with the support of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, this exhibition is considered to be the largest exhibition in Nepal and a mega event.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has included many exhibitions to attract different eyes by showing its artistic skills, culture and religious beliefs in this tourism expo. By keeping the statue of Kaal Bhairav, the Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality represents the faith of its city, country and countrymen.

The world-renowned small to large Nepalese carpets, hand-woven, also drew large crowds to the exhibition. Today's new generations were showing their love for art and culture by weaving carpets in the exhibition.

Also, many Mithila art materials reflecting the great Maithili art culture of Terai-based Nepalese were also put on display. Similarly, straw gundri, baschheuna, Newari culture were also exhibited in the program.

NITE aims to bring together tourism-related businesses (hotels, resorts, homestays, travel tour/trekking/mountaineering agencies, airlines, interested persons and agencies) in the country and abroad to promote tourism in Nepal. There are 16 countries and 150 vendors in this exhibition. It is estimated that 250 people and more than 1 thousand visitors will participate.

Bihar Tourism, Tourism Malaysia will also participate in the expo. It is believed that such an exhibition, which plays a major role in encouraging cooperation among tourism professionals, will lead to a wide expansion of international tourism network and trade. Similarly, many countries including Bhutan, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka also had their own stalls to increase trade, tourism and relations.
