ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has allocated the portfolio of Information Technology and Telecommunication (ITT) to the Minister of State Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Shaza Fatima was named in the 19-member federal cabinet which took oath from President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday.
Syed Tariq Fatemi has also been appointed as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) with the status of minister of state with an immediate effect.
The Cabinet Division, with signatures of the cabinet secretary, has issued two separate notifications regarding allocation of portfolio to Minister of State to Shaza Fatima and appointment of Tariq Fatemi as SAPM with the status of minister of state. Tariq Fatemi had also served as SAPM for Nawaz Sharif from June 9, 2013 to July 28, 2017. He had also served as Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States.
