Accountability Court Judge Bashir rebuffed NAB plea for an extended physical remand of former PTI chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case
ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir on Saturday rebuffed the National Accountability Bureau’s plea for an extended physical remand of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.
The proceedings took place in the Adiala Jail. Imran Khan, who had undergone two-day physical remand, was once again presented before the accountability court for further deliberations. The NAB team apprised the court of developments that transpired during the recent physical remand, seeking an additional three-day remand for the PTI founder.

However, the court, after careful consideration, dismissed the NAB request for an extended physical remand and instead gave a 14-day judicial remand.
It is worth noting that in the hearing, the accountability court had initially granted a two-day physical remand of the former prime minister.
