A man who jumped off the Sinamale’ Bridge has been rescued, and taken to the hospital.

The incident was reported to police at 08:44 am Tuesday.

The police identified the jumper as a 41-year-old Maldivian male.

He was rescued by a speedboat travelling in the area.

He was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

IGMH confirmed the man is being treated at the hospital’s ER, but declined to disclose any details.
