The middle-aged woman from N. Manadhoo found killed in her home Friday is scheduled to be buried after Magrib.
Naeema Moosa, 62, Annaarumaage, N. Manadhoo, was found stabbed to death in her bedroom at around 06:30 pm Friday.
Manadhoo Council’s president Abdul Rahman Sabeeh told Sun that the family was waiting for Naeema’s eldest child to arrive in Manadhoo.
He said that Naeema’s body is scheduled to be buried in Manadhoo after Magrib.
The funeral prayer will be held at Masjid Al-Rilwan.
A street sweeper employed by the local council, Naeema had lived alone. She was report missing by her family at around 06:13 pm Friday. She hadn’t reported to work or was seen for two days.
The police had to break open her bedroom door, and found her lying dead on the floor.
She is survived by three children.
Though not yet confirmed by the police, credible sources report Naeema had been stabbed to death. A team from the Serious and Organized Crime Department has been sent to Manadhoo to investigate the murder, and entry and exit to the island has been restricted by police.
