KATHMANDU, Feb 2: Nepal is playing the home team UAE today in the second match of the tri-nation ODI series of ICC World Cricket League-2. The match will start at 12:30 am in Dubai.
Nepal won five games in a row in League Two. If Nepal can beat UAE in today's match, it will set a record of the sixth consecutive victory in its ODI cricket history. In the first match of the series, Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea.
Nepal's leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane will also play in today's match. Sandeep Lamichhne flew to UAE on Wednesday after the Supreme Court allowed him to leave Nepal to play in the match.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Lamichhane has been sent to the UAE in place of Shyam Dhakal, a member of the Nepali cricket team. CAN said that Lamichhane was sent to UAE after Dhakal was injured during a practice match on Tuesday.
Nepal will play their next match against Papua New Guinea tomorrow and UAE on Sunday.
