Three missing after tipper falls into Bheri River

SATV 23 July, Kathmandu: A tipper truck has fallen into the Thulibheri River in Aathbiskot Municipality -14 of Rukum (West).

Police said that three people went missing after a tipper truck fell into the Bheri River from a road section under the Bheri Corridor on Tuesday evening.

According to Rukum West District Police Office spokesperson Inspector Rishi Pathak, three people, including the driver, went missing when a tipper (Ra 1 Ka 1501) of Yeti Builders, en route from Chisapani, Aathbiskot Municipality 11, towards Chhepare, ward-14, fell into the Thulibheri River.

The missing persons have been identified as Maniram Chaudhary, a 35-year-old tipper driver from Dang district, Dhanbir Baraili, a JCB driver from Yeti Builders and resident of Sani Bheri Rural Municipality-3 in Rukum (West), and a JCB helper from Yeti Builders. His identity is yet to be ascertained.

Police said the tipper fell into the Bheri River about 200 meters down the road. 

A search is underway for the missing person.
