SATV Hetauda, Jan. 22: Bagmati Province Government has decided to mark the Martyrs’ Day 2081 for three days by organising various programmes. The celebration will take place on January 27, 28 and 29.The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, during a meeting, announced its decision to organise special programmes to mark the Martyrs’ Day.
On the occasion of the Martyrs’ Day, the Ministry of Health will conduct health camps across all 13 districts of the province on January 27, according to Purna Bahadur Darji, Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.
A main organising committee, chaired by Suraj Chandra Lamichhane, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Law and spokesperson for the provincial government, has been formed to manage the celebrations.
As part of the celebrations, all schools in the province will conduct essay competitions related to martyrs, in addition to regular academic activities. On January 29, the main ceremony will be held at 7:30 am at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Hetauda-11.
Before this, a morning rally will assemble at the entrance of the Martyrs’ Memorial.
According to the Ministry, the Province Chief will be the chief guest of the celebration while the Chief Minister, former Chief Ministers, the Chairperson of the Martyrs’ Memorial Development Committee and the Speaker will be special guests.
To mark the Martyrs’ Day 2081, the government has decided to conduct special clean-up drives at provincial ministries, offices, and public spaces on January 27, 28 and 29.
The responsibility for cleaning the urban area has been assigned to the Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City.
