Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez of Inter Miami will miss the MLS competition that is due to be held tomorrow due to injuries, according to MLS and Inter Miami.

The list for the up coming MLS match against the Mexican Liga MX All-Star in Columbus Ohio had dropouts as Messi and Suarez.

Messi is also still in recovery from a knock that made him sit out two MLS match last week due to a right ankle injury that he got during Copa America final Colombia match. Messi will not be able to attend All-Star game due to an ankle problem while Suarez, who only recently returned to practice after spending more than 40 days with national team, will also have to miss the All-Star game due to knee issue, the team added.

This was expected to be Messi’s first MLS All-Star Game; the ace signed for Inter Miami in July last year. A record eight-time Ballon d’Or winner who featured in the recent World Cup facing the Argentine international led Miami to the most recent Leagues Cup celebration in the previous year; a competition designed for MLS and Mexican league teams.

Miami also noted that Messi and Suarez are cited as having doubtful status for the Saturday home match against Mexico’s Puebla to start their Leagues Cup title-retention campaign. Whether or not these players will be available for the match will depend on the recovery process on that day, added the team.
