By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 5: Global IME Bank Limited has been honoured with the Infosys Finacle Process Innovation Award 2024.

Global IME Bank was recognised as the best bank in the categories of Integration of Security Deposit Locker Issuance and E-commerce Card Issuance, said the bank in a statement on Tuesday. 

Utilising Finacle as its core banking software, Global IME Bank is known for being a secure and reliable bank offering innovative services.

“This honour will further encourage us to provide safe and convenient banking services for all by adopting more innovative and state-of-the-art banking software in the future,” read the statement.

Global IME Bank said it is the first private sector commercial bank with a branch network in all 77 districts of the country. “The bank serves more than 4.6 million customers through over 1,100 service centers, including 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and three international representative offices,” it said.

The bank has been contributing significantly to the country’s economy by bringing in remittances from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan and Hong Kong, it added.
