KATHMANDU, MAY 13
The skies across the country are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy on Monday, as per the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD).
With this cloudy skies, a few places in the hilly regions are likely to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds. Similar weather conditions may also be observed in one or two places in the Terai regions, according to the MFD.
This weather pattern is expected to persist into the night, affecting one or two places in the Koshi provinces and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
In the past 24 hours, Biratnagar recorded the highest amount of rainfall at 64.7 mm, followed by Pokhara with 42.2 mm. Meanwhile, the Kathmandu experienced 1.6 mm of rainfall.
As night approaches, the skies over the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces will remain partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to fair conditions.
The MFD also mentions the possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country today.
The country is currently under the influence of local winds, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system formed around the Indian state of Bihar.
