SATV, Kathmandu, April 19:Dr. Gopal Thakur, Chairman of Language Commission, speaks as a main guest in an event of 15th International Chinese Language Day conducted in LRI School today on April 19.
Mr. Thakur focuses on the fact that Chinese being one of the sixth official language of the United Nations he said, as "Learning by doing is the perfect practice", the language practice has been increasing employment opportunities on Nepalese market.
LRI School celebrated 15th International Chinese Language Day today conducting an event titled "Chinese language: connecting cultures through the bridge of mutual learning".
The event was Organised by Confucius Institute at Tribhuwan University, Confucius Institute at Kathmandu University and Confucius Classroom at Learning Realm International School.
The program was hosted by Embassy of The People's Republic of China and Center for Language Education and Cooperation.

Dr. Balmukunda Regmi, professor of Confucius Institute at Tribhuwan University highlighted that linguistics mode of connection was evidence that China and Nepal have been in constant connection with each other through our own language. He notifies that Chinese language has more leverage than other language.
Adding to the internationalisation of Chinese language which has tremendous progress than thirty years before, Mr. Regmi asserted that Chinese language is likely to open our markets and link Nepal with Chinese diaspora and economics. It also connects us to all who uses Chinese language as second or third language.

Ambassador of China to Nepal, His Excellency Mr. Chen Song stated that exchange of language has built a bridge of cultural exchange as well. Highlighting that the continuous progress of the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road, as the cooperation between China and Nepal in the fields of economy, trade and infrastructure construction is getting stronger, he supposed that learning Chinese language is becoming the most possible and competitive investment every day.
Mr. Song expressed that Chinese language system has a wide potential in Nepal. "We are ready to work together with friends from all regions of Nepal to create new highlights in linguistic cooperation and promote the Chinese language system in Nepal's national education on the basis of continuing the popularity of the Chinese language" he adds.
Four Chinese Directors of the school congratulated the students and everyone others for the 15th international Chinese Language Day by providing a motivating video speech.
The event was entertained with presentation of musics, dubbing of a part of film in Chinese language by a group of students from Confucious Institute of TU. Students also made some of the Nepalese cultural performances to show the amalgamation of both Chinese and Nepalese culture.
