The construction of a jetty at HA. Hoarafushi Airport has been completed at a time when many people have raised concerns about the Hoarafushi Airport not having a jetty.
The jetty was constructed by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). The opening of the jetty will make travel to the northern islands much easier, the company said.
MTCC said that instead of crossing the rough Galandhoo sea to Hanimaadhoo airport during the bad weather, the people of Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Thuraakunu, Uligamu and Molhadhoo will now be able to travel easily.
The jetty will provide convenience to many people who use the airport services, the company said. MTCC also said that the road journey to the airport will no longer be required.
