After winning the toss, Nepal decided to bowl first at Biomass Oval Cricket Ground in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Malaysia batted against Nepal and scored 101 runs losing 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Nepal entered the field with a winning target of 120 runs and after playing 5.3 overs, the match was stopped due to rain. At that time, Nepal had scored 37 runs for the loss of one wicket.
Indu Burma was playing with 19 and Sita Rana Magar with 13 runs. Before that, Kajal Shrestha got out without scoring a run. Nepal was declared the winner after the match could not be restarted due to excessive rain.
