The winners of Miss Nepal visited the heritage area of Kathmandu on Saturday through 'Hop All Hop off Bus'. They visited Narayanhiti, Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath and Swayambhunath through the 'Sampada Ghumti Bus Service Hop All Hop Off Bus' which was started in Kathmandu with the aim of promoting the major heritage areas in Kathmandu Valley.
The Nepal Tourism Board in cooperation with the common transport, conducted a test of the "Sampda Ghumti Bus Service" from the 9th of May in order to have easy access to the World Heritage listed properties - Patan Durbar Square, Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath and Swayambhu.
Miss Nepal Earth - 2023 Rena Majgaia, Miss Nepal World - 2023 Srichcha Pradhan, Miss Nepal International - 2023 Prasandi Shah and Miss Nepal Earth 2022 Dr. Shriyasha Shrestha along with officials of Nepal Tourism Board and officers of Shaja Yatayat's Transport participated.
Miss Nepal Earth - 2023 Rena Majgaiya said that it was a fun experience traveling to the heritage area through the Hop All Hop Off bus. ''Kathmandu itself is an open museum. There are countless heritages that cannot be visited here. With this bus service, at least it is possible to travel to important places listed in the World Heritage List'', she said.
Miss Nepal International - 2023 Prasiddhi Shah mentioned that various types of infrastructure are needed for tourism promotion and said that this is also a new infrastructure for tourism. She said'' this is an admirable act in itself. All of us who live in Kathmandu or come to visit Kathmandu will surely have a unique experience and feeling when travelling through this bus. So I request everyone to travel by this bus''.
Executive Head of Nepal Tourism Board Dr. Dhananjay Regmi said that the board has started this service in collaboration with Sajha for the promotion of tourism in the valley and with the aim of gradually promoting it by informing everyone, the contestants of Miss Nepal have also been sent to heritages through this bus.
These types of bus services are being operated in major cities of the world. We have started Heritage tour bus service though late. To make it successful and effective, coordination and cooperation with private sector organizations and businessmen is necessary'', Mr.Regmi said.
Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati and Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan launched the Sampada Ghumti bus service from Lalitpur on May 9. Two electric buses are operating daily on the transport route of Sampada Ghumti Bus.
According to common transport, Sampada Ghumti Bus is operating from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. According to which, the bus will reach the Buddha through the common transport, Pulchok Tourist Bus Park (near Lalitpur Metropolitan City), Mahakal Temple, Army Hospital, Jamal, Darbar Marg, Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, Kamal Pokhari, Pashupatinath Temple Tourist Bus Park, Gaushala, Chabhil Chowk, Taragaon Museum.
On the way back, Taragaon Museum, Buddhist, Chawhil Chowk, Narayan Gopal Chowk, Gangbu Bus Park, Swayambhu Bhagwan Pau, Cantonment Museum, Charity (Kalimati) from Kalimati Chowk to Balkhu Chowk, through the ring road to Ekantakuna, Sadar Zoo, Jawalakhel Chowk, and the common transport will come to Pulchok.
