A Chinese tourist trekking group landed in Nepal's land after 3yrs of time span in today's morning flight. A trekking team of around 700 members will land within two days or more. While only around 180 members of the group will land Nepal today combining two turns, morning and evening. It is the first charter flight in the history of Nepal with such a large scale trekking team.

This is a special hiker tourist group sent by Nepal Overseas Chinese Association, in collaboration with Shengtu Sports, a Chinese sports company. Himalayan Airlines and Overseas Friendship International Hospital are regulated to contribute for their flights and health service respectively. 

Nepal hadn't received any Chinese tourist since China had blocked all the international tourism of the Chinese citizens after Covid. But now, China has opened its door for its citizens to tour quite some nations. Nepal also falls under the list.

Chinese Ambassador Honourable Chen Song addressing to the group expressed, "You are the first batch of Chinese tourists to Nepal on a large scale. Your arrival marks the orderly recovery of China-Nepal tourism cooperation and a new beginning for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries". He extended a warm welcome to the group on behalf of the Chinese Embassy. 

"Though in the first list which China had published didn't have Nepal as their tourism destination Ministers of tourism board proposed for opening the route to Ambassador of China to Nepal, Mr. Chen Song and further the process of enlisting Nepal under the prioritized trekking route was completed" said CEO of Tourism board, Dhananjay Regmi to the media. 

He further adds recalling at the words, "Nepal is the most interested place for Chinese to visit" of honourable Xi Jing ping in a speech at President's place. 

Likewise,  "Mahila Naumati Baja Samuha" of Balaju prepared a warm cultural welcome in Dhakaa saari, singing musical songs and playing, Panche Baja, a group of cultural musical instruments operated under the management of Tourism Board. 

Sudan kiranti, Minister of Tourism Board represented that,"His Excellency Si Jing Ping has a very important role in making Pokhara International Airport. Therefore, we believe that he will take the initiative for a direct flight from Pokhara to China".  

Nepal Tourism board, Ministry of Tourism Industry, all officials of CAN (China Southern Airlines) were presented on Tribhuwan International Airport at 8 am in the morning in the respect and welcome of Chinese tourist group after long.
