Three people were killed and two were critically injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Cox's Bazar on Friday morning.

Only one of the deceased, autorickshaw driver Badiul Alam, 40, was identified at the time of writing.

Tulabagan Crossing Highway police station OC Misbah Uddin confirmed the matter.

The other two deceased were passengers of the three-wheeler, according to locals and the police.

The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatment.
