KATHMANDU, March 9: Shree Airlines carrying 78 passangers inthe Flight No 821, flying from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, made an emergency landing after the engine showed signs of fire.
Immediately after take off from Kathmandu, a crew member informed that the right engine of the plane was on fire. According to airport spokesperson Teknath Sitaula, the plane was diverted to Kathmandu after a 'firewarning' was detected in the engine of Shree Airlines. He said that the plane landed safely at Tribhuvan International Airport a while ago and the flightstatus of the airport is normal now.
Airport manager Pratababu Tiwari said that the plane landed safely diverting from above dhading and all the passengers were safe due to thequick action.
